We finally arrive at the Pau-Pyrenees airport where 1/2 of our home exchange couple, Phillip meets us and takes us to their home - ours for the next 3 weeks or so.
It's a lovely old stone farmhouse which Phil and Helen rebuilt, restored, and rennovated. They've retired here permanently from the UK. It's located way out in the country surrounded by corn fields and farms. The nearest town is Hagetmmau.
Helen & Phil show us around the house giving us instructions on pool, garden, kitchen, washer, etc. We had a very nice early dinner outside on the patio and got along v. well. Ray and I retired to bed and they continued to pack and get ready to leave for our house tomorrow.
Next day we bid them goodby as they head out to fly to our house. We take our little car and head to the local grocery store where we bought groceries without inernational incident.
