No one said it would be easy! I left buenos aires on monday. 16 hours to puerto madryn...up in a hotel one night..nice bike ride around town..Onto Rio gallegos for what i thought would just be another quick stop and go..no there were no buses out until thursday...and another 13 hour bus ride which parts of it were a real drag. For example, going through argenina´s exit..into chíle´s immigration..back out of chile and into argentina all in a matter of a few hours..IT´s ridicilous because chile possesses a little strip of land between mainland argentina and the southern tip..so you have to go through chile..anyways i am physically exhausted..one from anxiety about missing buses..two because it doesnt become dark here until 1130pm and gets light about 4...so i was constantly freaking out about the time bc all i have for a watch is a cheap 10 dollar watch with an unreliable (weak) alarm..
but the ride wasnt all bad..good views, and once we got into southern patagonia it was spectacular!! and now that i touched base in ushuaia it´s going to be a very enjoyable couple of days..
