I guess i've always been an image maker. It just so happens that the camera has become the prevailing tool of the times.

I'm addicted to the world (and life in general). I've been called optimistic, happy-go-lucky, or even reckless at times but these are all surface level descriptions. The fact of the matter is am hooked on living, going out of my way, out of my comfort zone just for the experience. It was this part of my life that influenced my photography. I arrived at a point where my camera would be beaten and bruised, dunked in water, dropped into a ravine (along with me). It became an extension of me. But with the craziness that we've experienced, my camera and I, we've also met the most amazing people with amazing stories.

Being from the Philippines, i've grown tired of the default poverty porn, I believe that a deeper story lies beneath the suffering. I want to describe the human race, it's ups and downs, accomplishments and failures, and most importantly it's individual story beyond the apparent.

I'm a long way off from discovering how to do that, and what I wish to gain from this is not so technical but an understanding of the world greater than mine.
