This boy in Tordi Gat shows nothing but pure innocence and happiness - looking directly at the lens , greeting with his right hand I aimed to capture both the joy of this boy from his expression and also the intimacy of a boy and his mother - who symbolically is right behind him ,"colour's his background" and brings him to the foreground and almost exit the image.

Making everyday chores seem like a peaceful meditation I wanted to capture the sheer joy and colour each woman in Tordi Gat emanated. I aimed in capturing the sense of harmonious sisterhood amongst these women and also bring forth their sense of individualism - from their contrasting garments. I was inspired by how they smile , both young and old - hand in hand- they seem to have the ingredients to a fulfilling life in those vases.

I aimed to experiment capturing the bodies inside these symmetrical arches inside the Mehrangarh fort. The organisation of colours divided by the pillars caught my attention and also the inquisitive stance of all 3 women and children.
