My name is Sebastian Ochoa, I'm from Colombia, and even though I just got my first camera this Christmas, I believe I can recognize beauty in peoples' work and learn fast from it.

Being chosen for this experience would be immensely helpful for me as I am learning on my own about photography for now, leaning a lot towards photojournalism, but at least I have always had my camera on manual setting since day one!
As a physics major in college, I think photography is fascinating and helps me grow as a person because it gives me another perspective when observing events, it makes me care more about details and particularities of everyday life, something we can easily overlook. Photography to me is about just that, details, conveying a story in images, seeing what no one else does. That is something I very very much want to learn to do, I want to learn how to capture timeless moments in a single moment, and I am very patient.

In short, I have great ambitions in this field. I want to learn as much as I can and I believe this experience would be incredibly helpful to me. I believe I deserve to be chosen given my great desire to learn and my potential that I hope you see. Thank you!
