Vietnam was my third destination in a series of disparate travels to South East Asia during my college years. It is a special country, that more so than its neighbors provided real difficulty when it came to interacting and engaging with its people, especially beyond the typical tourist track. This was certainly a surprise when I compared this country to its neighbors - countries that felt like the doors were left open, and its people eager for discourse.

These photos present people in motion as their subject. As the photographer, they also represent the distance I could feel between myself and my surroundings in this place in particular.
