Since I was young I have always loved photography and have always wanted to travel to Africa. Funnily enough, and probably like a million other kids, I dreamed of being a photographer with National Geographic. To me photography is an amazing art form. I love the way a siingle moment is captured forever. I have been fortunate enough the past couple of years to enjoy seeing some new countries and I hope to have my walls covered with photos from my various travels.
Two years ago I finally got the chance to travel to Africa and it was everything and so much more than I ever could of expected. The people, the animals, the scenery and the smiling happy children everywhere I went. And lastly , the Gorillas. I have been fortunate enough to have now been twice to Africa, and both times that hour spent sitting with the gorillas in Rwanda was the highlight of the trip. So my application is 5 photos from my trip to Africa and sitting the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. I think it would be a truly awe inspiring competition to win and I would love the opportunity to not only see a new country but to hone my photography skills with a truly inspiring photographer in Jason Edwards.
