About scarpenter3
In December, I’ll graduate from Nicholls State University, earning a BA in English with a creative writing concentration and a humanities minor. At the age of 20, I presently have five published works that include a feature article for What Now, a local news magazine, as well as non-fiction, fiction, and poetic prose in the 2014 edition of Mosaic, the official literary magazine of NSU. I am also part of the 2015 editorial staff.
As a level three CRLA-certified tutor, I work with peers to improve writing skills. The most inspiring sessions allow me to see the landscape and culture of international life. Because I also work at the front desk of a hotel, I am engaged in the travel experience of many individuals from diverse backgrounds. I especially enjoy listening to Australian and European accents as guests detail their in-state adventures.
My competence in and love for writing and multicultural experience partner with humanitarian ambitions to shape my post-graduate plans: earn an MFA, serve as an international missionary, teach ESL abroad, and write a memoir to impact the world.
My passport is branding me. I'm ready to fly and transform dreams into realities.
