My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Creativity isn’t just an art it’s our very essence and in the field I have chosen to study creativity and imagination can be explored with no limits. I have always loved the power of any pictorial medium whether it be photos, movies or cartoons. A picture can be a substitute for a thousand words.

I crave adventure and and thrive on challenges. Although trained as a film maker I view photography as a base to understanding how a story can be told and films came from photos.

There is one person who I remember as a child watching TV talking about the natural world and that was Sir David Attenborough what I take away from his many naturalist documentaries is that film which is an extention of photography can be used to show the beauty of the world from parasitic plants to the most remote places of the world that I could only dream of traveling to.

I believe that working with someone like Jason Edwardson will further my skills and I believe that I have much to learn from him and the world around us which has so much to offer.
