Differences are what make life more interesting… Like the smallest world’s restaurant and the tallest building makes us excited, the same happens with cultures. So it all started as an exchange project in the small town called Elazig more to east part of Turkey. Never could I know that it is going to be life time cultural shock. The same night toilet attacked me with swirling streaming wave straight in the bull’s eye… Who knew that bathrooms in Turkey so entertaining! Guess what happened in the morning then passing the town people where stopping, following with big groups and asking many questions. That gave me an idea how celebrities feel then they live there everyday life. Being tall and blond gave me so exposed that the next day I got interview from local newspaper and it even reached up to the state newspaper front page. At lunch walking to eat one of the seminar local guys grabbed my arm and it meant that this is symbol of respect and that I am his friend now. And the store got even more interesting then the girl proposed me to get married the last day then I had to leave seminar after a week full of stories, crazy local dances, Turkish saunas with drums, amazing nargile water pipe, great food and breath taking site seeing… After the trip I said to my friends: “I know that Turkey will always be the country that I want to come back”.
