My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have such a hunger for culture, people, and experience; photography and travel are two major passions in my life. I left home to live the life as a traveller and have driven the Steppe in Mongolia and across the Caspian Sea in a rusty Soviet ferry (to name a few) and are examples of my lust for travel and living life a little out of the box.
My dream is to show the world what I see everyday; there is so much beauty in this world, so much tragedy, so much triumph from tragedy.
I want to learn the technique of photography from a master and someone that breathes the same passion and drive for the art of showing the world that we live in, I know I can contribute wholly to the art of photography and to my generation to better understand the world we live in. We are at one of the most important times of human civilization, one where ignorance and greed can no longer be tolerated; I know I will create understanding of nature, people, culture. It is time for me to start my life's work to inspire people as those once did who inspired me. This opportunity would be an integral part of forging my career as a documentary photographer and the tools I need to become a voice of my generation.
