My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My photos are not just taken from a place that I once visited but a place I once lived.
After returning home from exploring around America, I came home depressed and reminiscing on my amazing adventures..longing to return.
After a week of boredom I took to my camera and explored my local area.The sun was starting to fall from the sky, shining warm afternoon rays on the acres of grass below. Making my photos come to life. The way the light lit up the sky was magical.
With the haze from the QLD heat and the afternoon sun preparing to set, I discovered that this place I was withering away in and beginning to loath was in fact a magical, amazing scene just waiting to be captured. I’m no professional photographer. but I absolutely love that feeling of capturing an amazing photo and how you just can’t stop looking at your capture. being a photographer is not just about the photo you capture but about the story behind the picture. I want to learn more about photography, I want to be able to turn everyday sights into my own story of events. I want to capture the same old world we live in but in a new way.
I want to Learn, Explore and Share my story through my lens.
