Others head out into the ocean to shake off the cobwebs with a swim or a surf.

Once the sun is up, the party people are gradually replaced with a healthier crew sweating it out with a soft-sand run to start their New Year.

Before the crowds arrive, the volunteer lifesavers ignore their hangovers & set up the beach to make sure Bondi's thousands of visitors have a safe trip to the beach.
