Catching a Moment - The Train Ride Chronicles

I have always wanted to go to South Korea since I've got into the raging storms of K-Pop (Korean Pop!). That's why when I got a chance to go with my mom even when the date is so close to my national examination, I instantly agreed.
When we've arrived at Seoul, my mom had to work so my sister and I decided to travel by ourselves. My mom wanted to arrange a car to help us travel, but I wanted to be adventurous instead and told her that we would take the train. There are no mass rapid transportation in Indonesia, so I'm always fascinated by public transportation and always want to try it every time I am in other countries which has it. After a bit of arguing and bluffing so that I could get her approval, I set my foot to the Samseong Station, teh closest one from my hotel. We were trying to make the ticket machine work in "English Language" mode when a nice old man with a "Translator" tag on his left pocket greeted us. He helped us in buying our train tickets and told us which side of the platform that we should wait on. We left and bid goodbye to him, and angel in a form of a translator for tourist.
My sister and I ended up taking the train several times that day decided to take taxi for going back in the end. I traveled alone the next day because she didn't want to go with me anymore. My first stop is trying to find the location of Seoul Fashion week that's still being held that day, so I rode the train for about half an hour only to find out that it's being held at another place. Bummed out, I decided to take the train back and travel randomly elsewhere.
My feet was hurting because I walked around so much yesterday and as soon as I found a seat inside the crowded train, I took it. The lack of sleep after two days of traveling and my tired body forced me to close my eyes. Before I knew it, I was dozing off inside a train in Seoul, with people looking into my slightly opened mouth. To top it off, I missed my station! The doors were closing again just before I woke up from my 'nap' and the first thing that crossed my mind was "i'm and idiot." I get off at the next station and took the train back, pretending that it was normal for me to actually miss it when I was actually screaming mentally about how stupid I am.
I didn't get to travel with the train more after that, because I had to go home that night. All in all, traveling by public transport was a fun experience for me, and I will definitely do it again when I visit other countries next time!
