Sanne's Magellan Travels I am off for a year or so to explore, learn and hopefully get a better idea of what to do with myself!

Flying to London

What a long flight!!

Stopped off in sydney and then in Singapore (yes of course Sydney doesn't require a capital). The plane was huge one of those two storey ones from Sydney on and largely empty which meant that from Singapore I had an aisle to myself. Oh joy I was sooooo pleased. And i was soo excited to discover that we would be flying across Australia in the daylight, and I with a window seat, until I discovered that that window seat was happily positioned atop the wing thus providing me with a beautiful view of... the Wing. A great boring expance of gleaming white with occassional, rare but enthrallingly exciting glimpses of sky which varied in colour from various shades of blue to the pinks and oranges of sunset and then to the grey of storm clouds and eventually the black shades of night and back to dawn and so on (you can see how exciting that was). Anyway am here now in glorious England which is currently fulfilling every cliche by being grey, misty and drizzly. And am now off for a nap.

LOL!! The wing huh...

I flew from Trinidad on a smaller aircraft and it was packed to capacity. Every seat was filled. Felt weird going to and from the toilet. People gawked. Close quarters makes that inevitable methinks lol. I was at the rear of the plane - no window. Hostess tells me I can move to the middle cabin with my travel mate because there were two empty seats next to her. When i got to the seat there was no window there - just my luck. So I read and slept...read and slept...
