Just like magic..

How dangerous is the internet these days? With a few clicks you can buy yourself a ticket to wherever your little heart desires. My hearts desire was to travel to Florence in Oregon. I have recently read an article at the L.A times about the light house, and the pictures looked magical. So on a tuesday afternoon, along with my partner in crime, we bought two tickets to what it would be our spring break.

After spending countless hours on Pinterest, and Google, we had what we called our master travel plan. We planned to arrive at Seattle and drive down to Florence in a four day weekend. I was so anxious, I bought enough polaroid film that would last weeks, and maps to both states. Everything was looking up, even the weather!

The day was here, and off we board the plane. We had the most amazing dinner, and not just because the food but the people in there were great. The vibes in the Seattle air were different. People actually smiled to strangers, and people looked so "chill". We booked a little magical house on AirBnb, and rented the meanest car we found. We hit the Space Needle first thing the next day, feeling like the city was ours. I had way to much fun with my selfie stick up in the observatory in the Needle. But this was almost a once in a life time for me, i want to remember it for ever!

Next up was the Farmers Market. This place has to be the best thing after the swap meets in California. We had samples of food, and the best apple cider in the world. I even helped a local find his way to around the city. We made sure to pack some snacks because the drive to Portland was coming up!

Four hours traffic, we made it alive to Portland. Like the rookie traveler i am, miscalculated the time of arrival. What did that mean? We would be arriving to the light house after midnight. Keep in mind the light house does not have an address. We spent at least 2 hours lost in the coast past 12am. We were lost, tired and hungry. We accidentally entered private property, got spooked by a hitch hiker, and mysterious fog. Finally we mad our way in to the 100+ year old light house.

What felt like an eternity to get there was soon compensated with its beauty. Never have i seen the sea so ever graceful. Its as if i was in the article i read, only even better. The sand, the air, and those majestic green mountains. Under my blanket next to the lighthouse, "Sandra, do we have to go home?" .."I hope not."The trip was worth ever second we were lost, i would do it all again.
