I admire the beauty of the bush veldt. Growing up in Marloth Park, I got to experience it first had for a couple of years. I moved to the city and just needed to re-connect my roots, so I planned a trip back to Mpumalanga where my feet found the path back to Marloth Park and visit the surrounding areas. Seeing the animals staring majestically in my direction, I immediately felt right at home.
In the Kruger National Park I saw a lot of elephants and was amazed of how it was the first time I saw so many animals in one day. A few lions were shy of the camera, the only way to catch them was to dare it out of the car, but they looked like were already on the prowl. The bush veldt has the most beautiful sunsets, and is very addictive to capture on camera.
The zebra were very entertaining and made my belly tickle a few times. I named the one socks, because he created himself some popular mud socks and sugar cane zebra had a nice sugar rush and loved all the attention from the camera. That was the first time I saw a giraffe drink water. I always saw giraffe walking around in the Park, but was amazed how their legs bent to drink water.
On my way to Komatipoort, I saw the best advertisement for KFC. Nothing attracts your attention like a big red plane with an advertisement on it, to persuade your taste buds.
I saw many new wonderful things and made a whole new book filled with memories. I love to travel to capture the beauty of our world and the extraordinary things in it. I have many more travel stories from Cape Town to Port St. Johns and the Drakensberg. I love to share my stories with friends and family and would be delighted to share what my eyes see with the world.
