Villa Lante, Bagnaia, Italy - 2010: Villa Lante is a garden located just outside of Viterbo that was commissioned by Cardinal Gianfrancesco Gambara. Huge fountains, pools, sculptures, architecture, and perfectly manicured greenery fill the grounds. This photograph was taken in a banquet style hall and shows a trompe-l'œil fresco. The fresco juxtaposed with the objects heightens the awareness of this historical place existing in modern times.

San Pellegrino, Viterbo, Italy - 2010: These coolers were the remnants of a month long festival that took place in Viterbo. Every night the streets, cafes and bars were packed with people out to have a good time. This picture perfectly encapsulates the end of the festival and my feelings about ending my stay in Italy.

Viterbo, Italy - 2010: This garden is part of a restaurant and only open to customers. Historically this piece of land was used for farming and crops when Viterbo was under attack and the city had to close it's walls. The sun-leathered gardener captivated my attention.
