It is no secret that traveling takes a certain amount of bravery and nerve. When you find yourself in a foreign place, you are often left feeling off-balance, forced to learn and adopt unfamiliar customs and routines.
Due to this sense of imbalance, many people avoid immersing themselves in travel and instead view the world from the comforts of their home. I hope to inspire change in these people, for there are no amount of books you can read or movies you can watch that will give you the knowledge and consciousness that traveling brings.
Both travel and photography have been my passions for several years. When traveling with a camera in hand, the world becomes my own, open to my interpretation. I find joy in sharing my perspective with others. I strive to capture honesty in people, their emotions, and the environment around them.
With my keen sense of adventure, passion for photography, and fascination of the unknown, I feel that this scholarship would be an incredible opportunity to develop my photography skills. I am eager to learn and am hopeful for a challenge. I hope that an opportunity such as this will teach me how to create and share ideas that will in turn inspire others to challenge themselves through travel.
