Got to Xi'an, as you know from the previous blog entry, room is cool. It's very Chinesey, with the furniture and there are shutters over the windows, all very cool. The service in the restaurant here is shocking, but that made us eat out so in a way it turned out to be a good thing!
There is a city wall round some of Xi'an, about 9 miles, and we cycled it, can you believe that! The bike was so uncomfortable and I swear everytime I went over a bump the thing was going to fall apart!! Then went to have a look at the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, nothing to say about them really. Went to the Muslim Quarter after that and had a look and smell at all the food. Tried a little pancake thing with green stuff in, very nice it was!! Seemed quite safe to have rather than having some meat that might not be cooked properly!

Went to the Terracotta Army. It was, not what I was expecting, one pit was being excavated so there wasn't really anything else to see in it, and then we saw the pit where the warriors were, that was cool. Will try and upload some pics but the camera stuff is in my bag in luggage storage as the train we are getting is not until 11pm. Met some Aussie's on the tour and then had dinner with them and went to a club. Some of the things the Chinese were doing, well it's probably best you don't all know, dodgey as hell is how I will leave that thought with you.......!!
Booked the train tickets to Chengdu, only 10quid, no comfy sleeper this time so it's going to be awful!! A couple of the Aussie's were going to, so we went to the station with them and have all got seats together. We are worried about how much space we will have but the Aussie guys are giants, so they will have more problems than us!!
Well that's it for now, will let you know how the train journey goes......
