After graduating high school, I really had a strong willing to study at university. But it was difficult to achieve due to inadequate economic situation. My daddy works as a farmer and my mom is a housewife only. Their earnings were only enough for daily needs. So, my dream of going to university was beyond of what we could effort. This situation was very hard to me. Although deep in my heart, I strongly believe that God has prepared something better for me. I did not know what to do. Living in my village would not change my destiny. Ultimately, Pekanbaru became a destination city to try my luck. I arrived there in February 2006. I got some numbers to call. They were my relatives. But, no one of them responded me. Again, no luck on my side. In short, because of pity, a middle-aged man took me to his house. His name is Mr. Rudi. He and his wife work as a vegetable seller. After telling him my goal going to that city, He offered me to work with him and he promised to fund my university when the day came. I could only say “yes” because that was what I expected. The day after, I started working with them.
After three months working. The admission to enter university is open. I let them know the information. With pleasure, they kept their promise and asked me to register soon. I was very happy. It seemed to me that my bright future would be accomplished.
Finally, studying in university was not only a dream. I made it.
After finishing my sixth semester, there was a scholarship offered to university students to study in USA for two months. Many students were interested in. I was motivated to apply. After getting my TOEFL score. I finally applied. Three months after, I declared as one of the scholarship recipients. it was a wonderful day for me. My tears fell. Thing I had never imagined before. Only gratitude I can pray. God gave me the best. I travel to USA in June 2010. Finally, I realized that none is impossible. I off to USA. My first airplane ride. Thanks God.:)
