My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Hi i’m Brodie, a 22 year old who loves photography and traveling. After graduating from university with a degree in media i decided to buckle down and do the hard yards. I got a job at a local bulk handling facility and work just about everyday for six months. It was hard work at times but it let me achieve my end goal, to go and see the United States of America and Europe for four months. I think that these trips are life changing and photography allows you to capture some of these amazing moments.

I first became interested in photography when my teacher in Year 7 (12 years of age) introduced the those of us who were interested in images to our first SLR and darkroom processing, something i finalyl excelled at.

To me my photography still needs a lot of work and I'm willing to give my all, in order to capture whats they're and tell the stories that need to be told as well at to document apart of the human experience. I want to tell the stories that don’t always get told, to give a voice to those who have no voice. Photography really can change the world.
