Our African Adventure

Without either of us ever having picked up a video camera before, we decided that we would document our trip through Africa with the mind to create content to be viewed online. Neil was to be the Presenter with Josh being behind the camera. We envisioned showing our audience the fun of our adventures along with insights into the beauty, diversity, poverty and challenges faced by Africa and it’s wonderful and resilient people. While we may not have fully achieved this goal the experience taught us so much about documenting all the facets of our journey and we will utilize this knowledge in our next adventure.

This scholarship and the further knowledge that Trent O’Donnell will pass on would be an invaluable step up for us to take in our dream of combining our loves of travel, film and journalism respectively. Since our trip Josh has gone onto study film and wishes he knew then what he does now. Neil is also learning more on his path towards his ambition of being a travel journalist. We have other adventures to go on in our lives and we look forward to the challenge of combining these passions and to keep on learning from these experiences.
