*) TEEJ festival at Pasupatinath - the married women are wearing red saris and they are praying, fasting and dancing for a long life of their husbands - and the not married women to get a good husband.

*) Prayer flags imprinted with sacred images and mantras transmit blessings and healing energy into the world through the power of the wind.

*) Smiling holy man also called sadhu at Durbar Square in Kathmandu

*) Friendly children in a small mountain village in the Langtang nationalpark. I like to donate small toys from surprise eggs and the children love it.

*) Dhaulagiri (8.167m) the seventh highest mountain of the world - incredible, great scenery, gorgeous vegetation

I love travelling to asian countries and to take pictures about humans, culture and nature. There are so many beautiful motives that the photographer is feeling like in heaven. At home my friends and colleagues are always enthusiastic about my photos. Especially one colleague is telling me in recent years that I should do something with my photos. Now she sent me the link to this Travel Photography Scholarship 2010. I feel the time has come and I am ready to travel with the wildlife photographer Jason Edwards to explore Bhutan. TRAVELLING TO THE KINGDOM OF BHUTAN - A DREAM WOULD COME TRUE. Maybe the cosmos agree with me and will give me this possibility !!!!
