Since my earliest childhood I was accompanied by a camera. My father bought it when I was born and captured every moment of my childhood since then. I have vivid memories of the lens following my movements, my cries and my laughs and especially all of our travels through numerous countries. My father took me to the highest mountains, the deepest seas, the darkest caves, magical forests and enchanted castles. The camera was always with us. When I was 8 years old my father died and with him the camera that was always so present in my life has disappeared.
For a long time I ignored photography and tried to forget everything that I linked with it. But then, a couple of years ago, my mother gave me a camera for my birthday. I felt a sudden urge. I started to photograph my room, my friends, my town. Suddenly I looked at the world differently. The world has become a magical place for me, with infinite possibilities! I found endless beauty in the smallest details as well as the biggest inconspicuous things. Looking through the lens has become a way of living. Moreover, the void my father left in me has been filled with amazing photographic experiences through which I felt more close to him than ever before. I feel that I found myself and the missing piece through photography.
I want to show others how I see the world through the lens. I want to share with them my love for places and capture moments that they would miss otherwise. My father has left me numerous photo albums, with numerous memories that enrich me until now. I want to enrich people in a similar way.
Like a couple of years ago, I feel this sudden urge again. I feel that it is time for something special. I think that this opportunity is the next step for me.
