My name is Andrea, I am a 30-year-old Canadian, and the question I hear most often from my friends at home are: "So, when are you leaving again?". I abide by the words of Hans Christian Andersen, who said; "To Travel is to Live". My passion for seeing the world has taken me all around Europe: as a backpacker, a student, a tour-guide and a hostel bed-maker, and a travel writer. My next continent was South America, where I spent 5 months backpacking. During that time, I helped to build houses for underprivileged families, took care of Capuchin monkeys in the Bolivian jungle, learned to surf, learned to speak Spanish, and ate as much coconut-flavoured food as possible! I'm back at home now, replenishing the bank account, putting my photos into a scrapbook, and planning for my next journey.
