My name is Mladen Nikolic and I am from Krusevac Serbia. I hold a Masters degree in Biotechnology and am currently in my first year of PhD studies in Nuclear Sciences. In my spare time I tend to keep myself occupied with all sorts of art forms, sports and especially nature exploration. I play drums, swim (was a state champion in 1997), and like to meet and surround myself with interesting and inspiring people. Photography, and spending most if not all of my free time in nature, are two of my true passions. Since the time I was a child I knew that I loved traveling and photography, but other influences (political instability, wars and so on) in my country limited my spending on equipment and has kept me from traveling as much as I have dreamt. Getting to experience new cultures and learning from everyone I encounter has always given me the drive to go on and be a better person.

Unfortunately, working and making a living from photography in Serbia is essentially impossible, so I have taken another road in life for the time being to make ends meet. Regardless my passions stay the same within me and wherever I go in life, and hopefully with your help I can fulfill my dream.

Why should I be chosen you ask? That split second when I take the photo lives in me as an infinite moment, and in that moment I am truly free.
