My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I grew up in the beautiful surroundings of the Hight Country of Victoria Australia. In my youth i spent a lot time outdoors riding bikes and snowboarding. I started a career as an automotive mechanic. However, I sought more adventure and decided to come Canada with the intension of working a winter season to snowboard then travel onto Europe, one winter turned into four.
While in Canada, at Silver Star Ski Resort the village was in the cloud and the peak was in sun light with a sea of rolling clouds as far as the eye could see. This inspired me to get my first DSLR. From this point my passion for photography developed. I never thought I would end up as a photographer, but action sports have provided me a vehicle to view the outdoors in a new way. Through snowboarding, mountain bike riding and the love of being outdoors I constantly find inspiration to capture the passion of the movement and environment. I love sharing my photos with friends and family so they can enjoy the moments as well. From this scholarship I would love to evolve and gain experience working with another passionate person, along with sharing with the readers my journey.
