My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

I have always thought of myself as city mouse, but with a strong attraction for the village life. Since I was 20,I have traveled for long periods of time, seeking for the perfect settings for my dreams, needless to say, with a camera hanging from my neck, and with wide open eyes, hungry, thirsty for adventures and knowledge, embracing the different with an un soothing curiosity.
The story behind people and places is what I always pretend to capture…a bit more than what the eye can see.
Lake of Atitlan in Guatemala was one of those places i was trapped by, and could not leave until I socked it in me.
The pictures, I think, reflects why.
I spent a total of one month with a local family , Maya family, learning about their way of life and mythology stories if which they define them selves.
The project of Bhutan fascinate me,I think I have the sensitivity that could allow to un cover many of the complex layers that this country beholds. I think I can learn so much, since i have little experience shooting wild life. (animales and tracking are something I always loved)
Learning is my prime priority in what ever I do.
Photography has been a hobby of mine ever since i discovered it as a way of expression, when i was 15.
I have a constant urge for telling a story, and photography is my favorite tool.
