Its been a long day, after going to sleep last night at 1am and then waking up at 5am, i think that we are almost ready for bed! Our flight left at 9am, everything went very well, no delays, we are very happy. We arrived in Peru tonight at 6.15pm, it was a nine hour flight stopping over in El Salvador on the way.
We landed in Lima, we were picked up from the airport by a free car sent by the hostel! The hostel is located in Miraflores, which is a district 45 minuets outside of Lima. We are very close to the ocean, the area seems nice and relatively safe.
I think that we may venture out soon to find something to eat, airline meals are generally not that good, so it may be our first taste of Peruvian food. Tomorrow i think that we are going to have a look around Lima, maybe some touristy things. We are also going to buy a bus tickets, as we are going to be travelling north to Huarez on Friday 14th.
Huarez is 7.5 hours north by bus, to a mountain region called the Cordilla Blanca. We are hoping to go climbing, camping and experience some rural areas. This should be a nice break from the city. Maybe we ahould start looking for some more accomodation?!
