Scolorship entry- Two perspectives of Morocco
Morocco | Saturday, January 12, 2013 | 5 photos
My name is Roxanne Minnille, 25 years old, I have lived in one of the most beautiful places on earth for almost a decade, British Columbia, Canada. Photography comes naturally, as everything in my eyes has beauty, and all i could wish for more is to capture it, and share it.
Traveling through Morocco has really opened my eyes. being surrounded by this new culture, but reminiscent of home my perspective was as a landscape, the view from my balcony, to sit and people watch on the village stroll. When writing about photos I would write about what my experience was, what I saw.
Not know either of the national languages I quickly learning conversational Arabic. Dropping the language barrier allowed me to talk with the locals on more personal level, to learn from their perspective.
This experience has encouraged me to change and learn, has enabled me to document my own travels as a visitor, while sharing a more local perspective.
All photos taken with my Canon g12.
