One of my favourite photos : The Glass House in the Retiro Park, Madrid, Spain with its semi frozen lake...something that is quite rare and that I had never witnessed in all my years living in Madrid (2002-present). I have many photos of this Glass House but they were always spring/summer or autumn shots as its unusal for Madrid to get such cold temperatures but in 2010, it was the harsh winter that helped me make this picture...After 8 years in Madrid I finally got to make my Madrid winter wonderland photo!

nice photo. looks great on snow. did you try at night too? i am in madrid now, so will have a stroll there and take a few pics. no snow unfortunately :)

One of my favourite cities to get lost in. I watched a group of professional photographers all lined up with their tripods waiting to get the right light etc and I had none of the gadgets they had just my eye and a steady hand...again this photo like the others made me realise just why I love photography so much....again like Ansel Adams says...you don't take photographs you 'make' them!

This photo was taken in an area of Italy called Maratea....I was walking at night up a hill and I stopped to take a stone out of my runner...and there on the wall was what I believe to this day to be a cricket. Being night time and the colours against the pale wall it was once again another opportunity to make a great photo!
