The roughed hands of the fishermen show just how tough this life is, and the admiration for these hard working people grows.

In Vietnam, fishing techniques are ancient. While some lower nets on the shores, most of the fishermen go out in their boats and throw the nets themselves. Here a fishermen and his family try to catch some fish to sell at the market.

At the pier, the fish is placed on these nets to dry up. After this, they are placed in tanks with salt so that they can be preserved and carried to the villages which are further away.
