I have always greatly enjoyed all kinds of arts and wildlife. During this tour, I had the chance to capture both. The inspiration was simply the place and the moment. I was overwhelmed by the experience of just being there. When I film, I take the objective stance, to allow the subject to continue uninterrupted in its own environment, and thereby giving an original insight into their natural state. The only thing I had to run against was the time restrictions, though I still managed to film a lot. What I want to achieve is the ability to experience as many different cultures and ways of life as possible, and become engorged by it. To be able to capture these moments in a memorable piece of material that hopefully inspires someone to go and discover what’s out there and experience it in their own individual way is ultimately what I would like to accomplish.
