I am a 17 year old male that is turning 18 in November. I am South African and have been living in Australia for almost 2 years now. I have a passion for photography and been taking photos since i fell in love with it in 2008 when i visited the Kruger National Park for the first time. Photography makes me escape from everything ells and let me be the person i truly are. Everything i know i have learned myself from magazines and books and getting to get picked for this scholarship would change my life as i am wanting to be a professional photographer. The 4 photos in my gallery was taken last year June when i visited Sydney for a holiday with my family. I love taking photos of animals most but since Australia does not have allot of animals i focused allot on landscapes. Out of the thousands of people competing for this scholarship i keep asking myself why i deserve it and believe that i have allot of talent and allot of potential to be a well known photographer and this scholarship would be a huge kick start to my career.
Getting to go to the Kruger National Park where my passion for photography started with a professional photographer would be one of the best experiences to me and would open allot of doors for me in the future and i can only hope and pray that my photos would be good enough for this scholarship.
