No Icelandic letters on this computer so no Icelandic - sorrí ;)
After a very short stop in Barcelona we flew over to Granada on Saturday night. My friend Julian came to the airport to pick us up and drove us to our apartment, which is in a lovely area of the city. Julian was unfortunatly leaving back to his workplace, Italy - the next day, so he couldn´t spend us much time with us as he wanted but we had a fantastic night together. He showed us the gypsy part of the city and we had dinner on top of a hill in a fantastic resturant with great food.
The weather has been nice, slightly colder then we expected though here in Granada but then we are 900 meters over sea level.. so..
Yesterday we took the car and drove down south, through a mountain valley and down to the beach. Kjartan did a great job driving through those extremely winding roads! We ended the night with a dinner at sea food resturants with strong waves beating the sand next to us. The food gave us mixed feelings - smooth tasting mussles and then a platter with a load of over cooked fishes, some with their ugly face still stuck on and a taste that had to be washed off with coffee carajio (coffe plus brandy and lemon zest).
Today´s plan is to continue to explore Granada city further. So far we have seen the Alhambra, the moorish castle and its fabulous gardens and the lower part of the old town. An interesting discovery has been that this city is FULL of sweet wild cats that happily roam the streets and gardens. The picture theme of this trip has been therefore affected by this :)
