Photos of Prague well-known places, but from the new point of view.

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos

Place where I was is one of the most charismatic and magic. Prague is a city of the revived images, which lets the people believe in magic and fairy tales. You are walking on narrow small streets and can’t let the camera to be turned off. There even walls of old houses look as the breath of city. Small, twisting small streets, conceal the stories and legends, each door in the top hailstones as a door to other epoch. And Karlov bridge won't leave indifferent even the most inveterate pragmatist.

Making the photos of Prague I tried to show well-known places, but from the new point of view. At each photo there is a main attribute of Prague – red tile roofs. Basically it is the main component of my series. A small element, a stain which unites both a picture of one separate building and a panorama, and simply landscape and even a separate fragment of a roof. The red tile gives to a city the special charm, a certain grace.

Why I should go? I think that each person in his life should have his own chance. When I have known about this scholarship I have thought that it is possible is my chance to make something not ordinary in my enough ordinary life. If I would go to study with the photographer from National Geographic, I think that my family will have an occasion to be proud of me. In turn, I will try to use as much as possible the possibility given to me in reception of valuable experience in photo area. Earlier I made the photos of culture and people from more usual places. But this scholarship is the excellent chance to see, on what I’m really able to do.
