On our Doorstep

This film was inspired by our strong Kiwi roots in New Zealand. Growing up we have both had a strong relationship with nature, exploring it when we can. I (Jason) have grown up rurally, whereas Ryan has grown up in the city but through our differences we both learnt an appreciation for the outdoors.

Ryan is a second year film student, he has written, directed and filmed around ten short films over a 2 year period. I am first year student, I have written, directed, filmed and starred in one short film plus most of Ryan's. Ryan is also very experienced with editing as he has also edited almost all of his films including our submission. All of our films have been made for our degrees.

Our ambitions are to take a trip around the world and to film our everyday exploits through an everyday video blog and to make a short film of our everyday experiences. This is what we want to do for a living, travelling from country to country filming our experiences and sharing them with the world.

Winning this scholarship would mean the world to us as this is perfect experience for what we want to do with our lives and getting our foot in the door could set us up for our dream careers.
