My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

El Salvador | Monday, July 1, 2013 | 5 photos

Learning and improving is necessary to be a better teller of a story, I want to be better everyday on what captivates my attention. My eyes can see the world in a different way that I need people to understand a message with them, with the pictures; and being with someone from National Geographic surely has to be a gift to use my eyes with the camera for the world, either to touch a heart, to incentivize to do positive things, or to be grateful about what we have and appreciate life as it is (including nature)

I should win because my eyes truly ask for it. I live in a beautiful country where we don’t have a specific career of photography so this could really be a good chance to learn from an expert, someone who I can talk to and ask questions about photography.

There was a morning when I woke up and I just couldn’t see anything, my eye was too red and I couldn’t open it without feeling pain, I started to cry when I put water and it didn’t work, then I thought ¨I will never see the sky¨ after two hours of pray and pain they were just fine and I felt more grateful and since then I really don’t want to waste my time only watching but using them in the best way.
