Music class at Kid's College
I am looking over my contract for Kids College. I would love to hear more from a past teacher. Thanks for your time.

Hi~I was offered a position at a Kid's College in Seoul. I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about your experiences with this hagwon. How was your work life in its entirety (i.e. hours teaching per day, management, etc)? I've been working with 4 different recruiters and out of all the schools I've spoken with, Kid's College has presented the best offer. My question to you is... Are they too good to be true (hidden requirements, unpaid overtime, etc)? Or are the countless blogs I've come across warning me to stay away simply an exaggeration?I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Ashlee, I´m travelling and can´t access your email on these computers, so hopefully you check back on this thread...Kid´s Colleges have different owners in different locations, an how good (or not) they are depends on the owners... I had the best of experiences at Kids College in Bundang until it changed ownership in my second year there... then we weren´t being paid fully, had our health insurance revoked, and more or less became illegal aliens overnight... it was a truly awful experience the second time around, so I´d definitely advise you to stay clear.

Be careful of the Kids Colleges in Bundang owned by a Mrs. Kim. (Probably not her real name, but it's what she goes by.) One of her schools just went under. She gave us 8 days notice and is threatening to hold paychecks. Be careful when picking Korean schools! Try to talk to American teachers at the school first!
