My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

First off all:
I was born in a little town called Merano in the autonomous region Trentino - Alto Adige in Italy. In high school I studied commercial art. To broaden my experience I did several internships in occupational areas of graphic design and social work. Since 2010 I'm studying at ZeLIG School for Documentary, Television and New Media in specialization camera with an appropriate internship in summer 2012 for a fiction for cinema.
Second off all:
I've visited many places and I’ve met some people too, few of them far away, some of them round the corner, but most of them I never reached. I find it really difficult to get to the essence of places and people. To get their trust and in the end to learn from them. By the way, by their and them I always mean people AND places. Why do I need the trust? Why do I have to learn from them? Maybe to be able to take the picture in an true and respectful way of interaction. I want to reach the place/people by taking a picture. The rest may be technique and style.
Third off all:
I would like to have the possibility to see how pros deal with these kind of questions and how they manage to get respectful stories in a proper visual way.
