My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I´m from Colombia, but I’ve lived most of my life in Brazil and Chile, among cultural diversity, learning from these cultures to avoid being an outsider.
Photography is a very useful tool to express myself, of where I am and who I am, since I believe photography contains a universal language, while also managing symbols of each culture. In witch the photography becomes part of a collective view.
The trips I have made with my camera allows me to reach deeper into the places and people, to know and learn from them, what it ends up being the photo as a document of a process of learning both for me and I hope that also for the people I meet. For me traveling is the possibility not only to move in space, is a constant fresh start, new looks, new experiences and new challenges.
I love to accept the challenge to learn from the experience of Jason Edwards, increase my views to photography and the world, to help master the technical, and also the magic of the picture: the insight that as a photographer has do to make them. I hope that this will serve me in the personal and professional process, as I intend to finish my sociology studies and continue to study this both areas of knowledge.
