This year valentine’s day, I was in Indore and due to packed work schedule and due to some professional madness, Valentines Day kind of slipped from my mind. A colleague of mine reminded me of this while we were waiting for an auto to go to the hotel. After boarding the auto, we were very amused by seeing the decoration and the vibrancy of the auto. Being a frequent traveler to Indore, I had never seen such a decorative auto. So, I was sure it’s not something usual and common. Upon inquiry, I came to know that Valentine’s Day is the reason of this decoration. Do you have a girlfriend Ranjit, I asked? In a blushing face and shy tone he replied; yes. Have you decorated the auto? He said no, 'it's your sister-in-law, who has decorated the auto; I have just helped a bit'. What is her name? Shaalu.I could see 'I love R' inside the auto. Ranjit had bought a new red color t-shirt to wear on that day. He had taken Shaalu for a ride early morning and had dropped her at college. Ranjit and Shaalu stay in the same locality. She loves to study and is pursuing her under graduation course. Ranjit had to drop his studies due to family financial problem. He had gifted a couple locked inside a glass to his girl friend as a symbol of their love and togetherness which will last forever. We had one hour auto ride conversation with Ranjit through which I got to know about him, his girl friend and their love story. It was a sheer joy to listen to his love story and to see his happiness. He said he fulfills his dream and support her girl friend in doing so.The love story of Ranjit might not be extra ordinary. But it is special like all the love stories and couples. When I got down from the auto at my destination, I could not stop telling him that my day became special by meeting and listening to him and his love story. I only thing which came genuinely from me is ' May god be with you two always and bless you'. His pure innocence, excitement, face filled with smile and blush, a shy and confident tone no doubt made our evening memorable. His happiness did contribute to ours. He gifted us a cute story to remember. I thought may be its a day for some, but it’s a special day for many, who look forward to this to shower love on their partner, feel good about their life and get more connected to each other. The relevance of this day is subject to interpretation, but it is a reason of happiness for many Ranjit and Shaalu in the world. Many Rashmi must be really happy by seeing them.
