Scolarship Entry - A trip to Curieuse Island
Seychelles | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
I knew I had an eye for photography since college, and bought my first DSLR camera once I started working. I have been in the IT field for 5 years and in these years I have traveled and seen a few places.
It was then that I developed an interest in travel photography as I would be able to re-live my experiences and also share them with family and friends. My passions include sports, traveling to learn about people and places and enjoying their cultures and cuisines.
Through photography, I capture memories of family events and functions and these remain for a lifetime. Similarly, I would like to be able to capture pictures during my travel which will be able to tell a story.
I still feel I have a lot to learn in this field, hence, I’m applying for the scholarship and eagerly looking forward to learning from Jason Edwards. The concept of learning photography without post editing seems like a very interesting technique that I would like to master to capture effectively. If given the opportunity and after learning from the travel expert himself, I plan to travel more and publish my work so that my audience will be able to experience the world through my lens.
