Out here, where there are no roads, is where you would normally expect to see wildlife, such as bears. After hiking along the entire, 40 mile long, Teton Crest Trail in four days in the backcountry, not a single bear was seen. Are we somehow enticing our bears to choose the roadsides instead, where they are so much less safe?
