So, here we are in Toronto, Canada after a very short time in the planning so to speak. It was raining when we arrived & the airport was much smaller than expected so took an age to get through to our bags.
Downtown for an overnight stay at the hotel, small room, but the bed was comfy and after a long day travelling, that's all that mattered. Had food and listened to some jazz, food great, jazz wasted on us, but all in the bar loved it.
Free coffee and toast in the morning and then off for the bus to Niagara. Steady and easy journey to the falls, but got off a stop early and had a 40 minute walk with heavy back packs and it was quite warm and a little humid, so it was a sweaty one. Got to the hotel and was greeted with big room with a heart shaped whirlpool bath, the walk seemed a distant memory. Had a quick scout round and the reports that we had read were near the mark, the falls are an awesome sight, but it is commrecital and in some areas spoilt.
Today we did everything falls, went down behind the falls which was spectacular and then on the boat to the foot of the falls which was great.
if you are thinking of visiting Niagara, do it, forget the cheesy over priced tourist area and just bathe in the majesty of them there falls. A wonder of the world, oh yes and a very happy memory to leave behind.
Tomorrow will be a lazy day and a trip up the skylon tower, then back to Toronto for the weekend.
