My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I've thought long about why I should be chosen among the countless other entries. What makes my story so special?

The world has gotten smaller, yet not many people realize it. This is the 1st time in history that in 36 hours you can be at any given point on the globe experiencing life and culture from a different perspective and in turn expanding your own. When I think about this, it excites me! I would like to think when I look back on my life that I saw enough of this earth to satisfy me, and in turn shared as much of this journey! To me this is what it means to be a Travel photographer!

Thailand - My 1st time behind a lens the series of photos I picked for this represent my experiences. I lived in a Buddhist temple which funded a refugee program by allowing foreigners to stay in the temple to ordain as monks in turn they took in refugee children from Burma just so they could get an education. These children of which who's parents were murdered live the happiest lives you could imagine, I was brought to tears several times!

If I don't win, it won't stop my passion I will continue to this with all my efforts, so imagine what I could do if you did allow me this opportunity!
