My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

India | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

I consider my self as a student of photography as one is forever learning and evolving in the art, learning from mistakes, experiments and observing other peoples work. Never been a professional in terms of monetary aspect. For the last eight years I have been traveling and trekking in the Garhwal Himalayas photographing the mountains, passes and lakes along with documenting the day-today events with the hopes of publishing a coffee table book in the future.
I started off with film and moved to digital around 6 years back,
I love to travel and have really roughed it out traveling in my country and have gained a lot of experience on being a street smart traveler and photographer.

The reason I should be chosen as an assistant is very simple-to learn. To be brutally honest it is a selfish motive as I just want to learn all that you can teach me and I would try to squeeze the last bit of knowledge out of you for my benefit. Being a mountaineer carrying your equipment will not be much of a problem thus I would be able to give more attention in observing and learning from you and ofcourse the ability to contribute to your assignment would be any amateur photographers dream.
