I am working as a full-time Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecolgy at Smt N H L Municipal Medical College, Sheth V S General Hospital at Ahmedabad, India.
Every year, during vacation, I volunteer in field of health and environment education, so I travel for the same and take photographs where ever I go.
I am an amateur photographer.
My first camera was a prize received at a painting competition when I was in 9th grade. Later yet another camera was received as a prize for 'out standing contributor prize' by Photoshare project of Bloomberg school of Public Health, John Hopkins University,USA in the year 2008. I have uploaded several photographs related to Health and Environment at Photoshare project, and few of my pics have been utilized by few charity and NGOs in their publications.
I also write travelogue for the largest selling Gujarati News Paper (Divya Bhaskar) and currently my weekly column is being published every Sunday along with photographs that are taken by me.
Photography is my passion and so, If selected for World Nomads scholarship, it will be a great learning experience for me while interacting with learned photographers.
