My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited (A Front Yard & Them)
Indonesia | Monday, January 7, 2013 | 5 photos
I proposed “photography” when I was in high school, with a cell phone camera. I knew it’s too early but we started living together. It taught me many things, especially the way to share the moments, beauties, scenes, sadness, happiness, anything, through photos. It taught me what memory is. It taught me that a photo can tell more than words. Being a travel photographer is my dream. With photography, I want to share to the world what I've seen. In real, I fall in love with an Indian boy who i haven’t met in my real life. I dream to capture his gorgeous smile & show the world that “that’s him!”.
As an university student, I can’t afford to buy a pro camera. But I got a side job as photo editor for a photographer after campus & I can borrow the camera. Even I’ve tried my best, but not every people loves my work. Then “photography” whispers me, “Keep learning! Enrich your knowledge about me if you do love me!” Nat Geo scholarship is an opportunity.
Many people may deserve this scholarship more than me. I'm a girl but I won’t give up. I want to learn and experience many things as long as I’m still young. A passion from Indonesia to learn & share.

Rahma Anugrah
